About Us
Corpus Christi Pre-School operates on the grounds of Corpus Christi Parish Church, close to Corpus Christi RC Primary School. Opening in April 1979 we celebrated the Pre-Schools 40th Anniversary in April 2019. The present owners are Mary Bradshaw and Sarah Keeping who took over in July 2007. We all work directly with the children within a team of 7 qualified and very experienced Childcare Practitioners.
We are registered with OFSTED for 20 children per day who are supported by 4/5 practitioners each day. We are open from – Monday to Friday during School term- time. Our opening hours are 9.00 am – 3.00 pm.
We are a fully inclusive Pre-School open to children from all faiths, cultures and backgrounds. We are very experienced in supporting children who have English as a second Language, Special Educational Needs, disabilities and / or medical needs.
Our Pre-School is a small and homely environment consisting of one main room, a kitchen, 2 outside areas and access to separate toilets and a cloakroom.
In well-supervised small groups, we also make full use of our surrounding areas outside Pre-School which includes nearby parks, woodland walks, beaches, shopping areas and two libraries. We also take bus and train trips to the centre of Bournemouth and Christchurch.
Every summer we plan a day trip with all our parents, staff and children to a local farm or an adventure park. We all have lots of fun and it’s a wonderful way of ending the year before we say goodbye to some of our Pre-School children before they leave us to go to ‘Big School’.
